Visit the Interurban Railway Museum to learn about the history of the Texas Electric Railway, including a vintage rail car. Walk the trails of Oak Point Park to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. The Southfork Ranch is the location of the television series, “Dallas.”
The Historic Downtown Arts District is Plano’s largest cultural center. The area is full of architecturally interesting historical buildings and shops. You can also take in an outdoor movie in the theater. The historic downtown is Plano’s best bet for shopping. A variety of ethnic restaurants can be found in the area, including many international cuisines. The Arts District offers art galleries, movie theaters, and cafes. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a 200-acre park with miles of walking and biking trails. It also includes an observation deck for bird-watching. While you’re here, make sure to take time to explore the nature preserve. There’s something for everyone to enjoy here! Just make sure to plan ahead and make sure to pack your sunscreen.
