Heath

The city of Heath is located in Rockwall County and Kaufman County, Texas. The population of the city was 6,921 at the 2010 census, up from 4,149 at the 2000 census. It is a part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. If you are thinking of moving to Heath, there are several things you should know. The Heath school district provides education to children in grades K-5. There are four elementary schools in Heath: Amy Parks-Heath Elementary School, Linda Lyons Elementary School, and Maurine Cain Middle School. The city also has a high school for students, Rockwall Heath High School. The Heath public schools are excellent and have a very high graduation rate, and the city’s overall crime rate is well below the national average.

Heath has a population of 2,108 residents. While the city was a rural area, the city experienced rapid growth after the 1950s. This growth was partly due to nearby cities Rockwall and Dallas and to the development of Lake Ray Hubbard in 1969-70. The population increased from 175 in 1960 to 449 in 1970 and to 1,449 in 1988.
